NEXT WORKSHOP MEETING: THURSDAY 23rd FEBRUARY
Have you always wanted to learn to knit or crochet?
Have you a project started but not finished?
Have you bought yarn and then not started knitting it?
If the answer is “yes” to one or more of these questions, then please come to our meetings, run by Sandra Lawson, Knitwear designer, to see what the workshops can do for you. The plan is to meet monthly on the last Thursday of the month to get together and work on our individual pieces, chat, swap advice and sources. If you’re interested in joining, please ring or pop round to the shop to register your interest or pick up some information packets on these knitting/crochet workshops and sessions.
So come along and register for the forthcoming workshops which will cost 10 euros per person lasting 2 hours and include:
- The basic knitting stitches
- The importance of tension swatches
- How to follow a pattern
- How to cable
- How to ‘finish’ and sew up garments professionally
- The basic crochet stitches and any other topics that you want to cover.
Sandra will bring books, needles, crochet hooks and yarns, so you will just have to turn up on the day...hopefully Thursday afternoon will prove to be the Craft afternoon.
Between her monthly workshops, every Thursday the upstairs will be open for Stitchers to meet between 3:15 - 5:15 to continue their good work, swap ideas, seek inspiration and have a cup of tea.
